During June 29-30, the Circular Economy Catalyst had the privilege to join the India Circular Economy Forum 2023 in Delhi, hosted by the International Council for Circular Economy (ICCE) in Delhi. The forum presents India’s leading circular economy solutions with business leaders, policymakers and experts participating from India and around the world. Circular economy approaches can help businesses seize new opportunities and gain a competitive advantage, as well as contribute to achieving the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.

During this high-level event, the India winners of this year’s Circular Economy Awards by CEC were presented to key national and global circularity stakeholders from the private, financial and public sectors. The two Indian winners are Sahar Mansoor, Founder of Bare Necessities Zero Waste Solutions, and Abhimanyu Singh, Co-Founder of Hexpressions.

Luis Ebert, Starter and Ecosystem Lead, Circular Economy Catalyst: "It was amazing to see so many actors in India come together and discuss sustainability and how to turn the economy more circular. You can feel that the topic has a lot of momentum, as companies, small and large, come up with innovative solutions to change the throw-away culture, while regulations and policies keep coming up that define the way to go. Our winners showcase how startups can lead innovation by ingenuity instead of large R&D departments."
